I proposed inviting the GLAMhack23 to the MEG and I defended this collaborative project to liberate metadata because ethnographic museums are custodians of heritage belonging culturally to peoples from all over the world. The decolonisation of our institution must be participatory and transparent, so that the objects, their histories and the knowledge associated with them are accessible and shared in the most ethical way.
