Randomly Wandering Around

Find the locations of various old photos and paintings in Lucerne

Exploring a city without following a map can be fun. That's why we want to build an experience where users have to find the locations of various old photos and paintings in Lucerne.

🕹ī¸ User Journey / Gameplay Loop

Note: The screens are just to illustrate what we're currently imagining, not to look pretty. :) Also, this is just the idea as of right now, but could still change a lot.

First, the user sees an overview with all spots to discover. Each spot shows how far away it is from the users real life location:

Overview of all spots

When they get close to a spot, they can take a picture:

They should try to match the original image's perspective as closely as possible:

Then, they can read about the spot and the context the image was taken/painted in:

đŸŒģ Team

We're currently two people:

  • Lea, Student (Design/UX)
  • Dorian, Student (Programming)

We're very open to working with more people. It would be especially nice to find someone who's interested in finding good pictures and paintings and write something about them. But more designers and programmers are also very welcome, of course. :)

🧑‍đŸ’ģ Implementation

We would implement the project as a website, because the Geolocation API and MediaDevices API are good enough.
