Place-linked Images

Take the SKKG image collection and identify images with a relationship to a real-world place—such as depicting, documenting, or originating from it. Resolve those places against open geographic data such as Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, or Overture, then aggregate the visual material for each place. Finally, explore using AI to create a visual “place history”: summarizing what the images show, their cultural significance, and how the place appears or changes across different time periods.
